QT OK

very slow on the uptake these days, what with me having no internet or tv in the home anymore, and being in somewhat of a love-bubble, as my friend Kate put it... watched the Griffin QT from the gaudily-stained comfort of a Bethnal Green internet cafe the other night. recent events have made me think about it again.

rly wish Griffin had opened up a bit more. woulda made for better entertainment... because that's all these people are ultimately: amusing distractions from the obscured longterm investors in this state who control the affairs of it. In the strange celebrity-culture-for-mingers that politics has become, it was fitting to see QT turn into a Punch And Judy show for the night... they coulda totally gone further with it too: install a *Travelator* next time, and two podiums with a lycra-clad member of the disgruntled audience wielding a giant cotton bud.

*edit* was meant to be for the post below haha

Not sure if it's the filter on this blog or just the way you type but I'm assuming you're referring to the bit of drama you stirred up a few nights back?

I think there's a heck of a lot of overreacting due to this but in all honesty it's not unwarranted. Correct me if I'm wrong, but after reading all 35 pages (lost track of time so bad) it seems like you just got plain lazy. Fair enough if you're not a disc jockey, but you'd think after getting this far in the industry you'd know how a stunt like this would go down.

When people go to a dnb event they are right to assume there will be DJing unless otherwise stated. Whether or not your equipment fit or not doesn't change the fact that you were pulling a (not-so) fast one over the people there. And the one thing I've learned about people is that they don't like being looked down at.
Which is exactly how you seem to have treated them.

You're a sick producer and when you played in Perth I was having a blast regardless of whether or not you were actively involved in the tracks being played out. I hope this whole clusterfuck of drama hasn't turned you off the scene completely. Just be a bit more up front with what it is you want from it! The bottom line is none of this would have happened if you explained to people what you do and didn't pretend to conform.

I still love your music and I look forward to what this whole experience can teach you. We all fuck up, some more than others and to round out a very clichéd post I hope you learn from this.

- A DJ who doesn't hate you.

PS. Put the old rave piano back in the VIP of No Matter What. :P

What's the safe word?

Blasting onto the D+B scene after being personally responsible for starting the credit crunch, Mistabishi's share price has more than tripled in the last 12months...

In late 2007 Mistabishi debuted on Hospital with the absolutely huge No Matter What, this rave piano led, modern jungle anthem quickly grabbed daytime radio one support from Jo Whiley, Annie Mac & Zane Lowe. Switching from the City to the studio, James Pullen has never looked back.

Just over a year later, with the financial world in meltdown, the Mistabishi D+B machine is anything but, as he unleashes his debut album Drop. Brave, inventive and arguably the most challenging long player ever on Hospital Records, if Tyler Durden made D+B this would be it!

Tracks such as Printer Jam, Damage, Greed and the dubstep flavoured White Collar Grime are early examples of recession induced creativity as the Mistabishi sound goes from melancholy to menacing within the blink of an eye.

Unique, paranoid, genius and deadly, spend some time with Mistabishi, you can trust him, can't you!?
